Ok, if there is one restaurant you absolutely have to visit next time you're in Rome, this one is it!
I don't even have the words to describe the amazingness of this place. From the cozy vibe, to the awesome Francesco-Maria (owner), and the phenomenally generous portions of black truffles, this restaurant might go down as one of my favorites GLOBALLY! We came here looking for yummy truffles after 2 weeks of delicious food across Italy, and boy did Taverna Lucifero deliver. We started with the duck and burrata dishes (both amazing) as well as a bottle of wine that Francesco-Maria picked out for us. We then had the potatoes (yum), the pasta with black truffle (holy freaking yum), and the fillet mignon truffled up to the max (died and gone to heaven level of yum). It was a phenomenal meal that ended with tiramisu, sweet wine (moscato) and cookies on the house. I really can't speak highly enough of this place except to URGE YOU to go the next time you're in Rome!! Can't wait to go back the next time we're in the city!

This the most amazing restaurant. Gotta go during truffle season. I had the veal skalopinni that was cooked to perfection. The staff is great and make you feel at home with suggestions for paring wine with the different food dishes. Don't forget desert the Tiramisu is really good served in a bowl. The wine collection is extensive and full of unique varieties. Must do when in Rome.

Best meal we had in Italy! It's a small and cozy spot. We had our hotel make a reservation for us and we are glad they did. It was very busy.

The owner is fun and will give strong suggestions for ordering. We got cheese with different flavored honey along with a vegetable appetizer. Both were wonderful but they cheese and honey blew me away. But in the end my main course stole the show. The truffle pasta was so incredible! Very simple pasta dish with truffles shaved right on it! It was incredibly delicious and beautiful. Would recommend to everyone!

After seeing several mentions of Taverna Lucifero within reviews for our hotel (the Hotel Indigo St. George), I was happily surprised to see such stellar reviews on Yelp. We made a reservation for a Wednesday night and walked over from our hotel.

We were warmly greeted by the owner and given options on where to sit. We settled on a back corner booth where we could see all of the restaurant and the passerby's on the street outside.

Once seated, we got two menus: one of restaurant offerings and another of items that could be coated in truffles. We ordered buffalo mozzarella, Parma ham, grilled veggies, tagliolino pasta with truffles, and filet steak with truffles and rosemary potatoes.  The appetizers were good but the pasta and fillet were terrific and worth the five stars. The truffles were freshly grated table side and wonderful with every bite.

We were taken to the wine room and offered assistance in picking a wine to go well with what we ordered. We got a Barolo by Rocca Giovanni that was absolutely stellar. It perfectly paired with our food.

We also ordered tiramisu, which was super yummy. Some limoncello was offered followed by delicious dessert wine.  When we went to pay the bill, we were pleasantly surprised that several items were on the house. The gesture was greatly appreciated.

All in all, a super cozy delicious dinner with wonderful service!

Very good wine selection. Very tasty starters. We had tartare, filet mignon, carpaccio and gnocci. All with a lot of Black truffle on top.
The tartare was decent, steaks good. But the gnocci and carpaccio was dissapointing.
The waiter was more busy giving us coupons and promotions than serving us.
